The Plein Air MSP competition is a fundraiser for our park. Each artist donates their winning artwork to FMSP, and we raffle their works at our Progressive Plates event on February 7, 2015.
Oh, what a night! Late October at our host’s Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library. Friday (10/24/2014) culminated the Monday through Thursday grueling competition. From dawn to dusk, 72 artists photographed and painted the minimum four entries from three of 13 locations.* In the photo above, there’s an artist painting the Swiss Cottage.
Jim had one of those “I-can’t-believe-this-just-happened” moments. He placed FIRST in the MSP Photography Competition and THIRD (photo below the painting) in the Overall Photography Competition!
The First Place Winner for the MSP Painting Competition is Catherine Carney.
