Original 1889 fountain Found & Recovered May 14, 2012.
The original fountain had a stone basin and five cast iron bowls. The bottom bowl is still in the basin on its original site, the corner of E. Marshall and N. Franklin Streets. The middle three bowls were lost but recovered and returned to the Swiss Cottage May 14, 2012 (click for video), now awaiting restoration. The smallest bowl on top remains lost. Crafting a new, cast iron replica is a top priority (pun intended). Don’t worry about the video. What you saw in the Cottage is just the second bowl with the next three bowls inside it, in pieces.
